Has anyone experienced having a newborn( 6 weeks)that doesn’t sleep during (maybe take a cat nap -no longer than 10 minutes) the day if you lay him/her down and wants to be held all day long?
How did you deal with this? I’m struggling to eat, get dressed , etc during the daytime because she wants to be held all day.
I tried using my Bjorn carrier but it’s not always comfortable for me even when trying to eat, etc.
Thanks, I’ll need to get a more comfortable carrier and I’ll keep trying to use the swing
My youngest was this way and the only way I could get anything done was wearing him. He eventually took to the swing around 2 1/2 months and would let me place him in there for about 20 to 30 minutes at a time. If I got lucky hed pass out for awhile.
Do you have a swing? My daughter was like that and a swing with the little mirror and mobile with sounds was the only thing i could put her in for long enough to eat without her pitching a fit. It was really rough for awhile. My daughter is 16 months and still super attached. I can't cook or shower without her being super upset
I have a swing but she doesn’t like it and cries after a few minutes. I’ll keep trying though. One day she might surprise me
@withlovedkj might need to try a different type. my LO didnt like the one i had bought or the mamaroo but we tried the snugapuppy one at my sisters one day and she suprised me. They can be so picky sometimes
You just hold them. It is tough but they’ll grow out of it in a few months. Both my girls are like this and I literally get nothing done
I understand. I’m in that situation now so I get what I can get done but I’m really concerned with not being able to pump milk for storage since I’ll be going back to work soon so that kinda stresses me a little.
Mine needed to be held constantly. So I just wore her. Yes it wasn’t always comfy but I got used to it. But it didn’t take very long before she was content in her swing
I did like the baby ktan carrier for wearing her most of the time.
