Im debating having my husband shut down social media as he cant stay off dating sight(or quit texting girls back on social media apps) should i or Is it a lost cause.

Where there’s a will there is a way. He’s going to keep doing it, no matter what you “make” him do. Throw the damn husband out.
Ok so from experience:
I made my ex do this; delete his social media (everything) cause he would t stop talking to girls. It worked.. for a little bit. Then I found him talking to people on Craigslist; and random girls he’d find at work. Long story short: you can take everything away but it’ll make him even sneakier and it’s not worth it. You deserve better.
How about shut your husband down and make him your ex.

Yeah he wouldn’t be my husband much longer if he was on dating sites but that’s just me.
If you want to try to work it out I would definitely suggest taking a social media break. If he isn’t willing to work with you on that then it might be time to take a serious look at your relationship

Okay yeah, big red flag! That’s definitely not normal. If he can’t respect you enough to stop, you may need to go to counseling or consider other options.
I mean, are these girls his friends? Or is he straight up seeking them out and flirting with them? I have guy friends that I talk to on social media apps and my husband knows about it. But I don’t flirt with them. They’re just my friends. I don’t seek out new guy friends and I definitely don’t go on dating sites. If my husband was seeking out girls to talk to on dating sites, that to me sounds like emotional cheating (unless you’re in an open relationship). You can’t tell him what to do but you can give him an ultimatum.
Agree ^^^. Even if you take away social media he can always find ways. Reevaluate your relationship.

I find it pretty hilarious how people who have shown their true colors on social media snake away, delete the posts that outed them and come back on social media like nothing happened. Why do that, you outed yourself, so stay out. We still see you boo boo...
