My 5yr old is getting tubes in her ears Friday and the admissions for the hospital just called to go over everything( not eating after 12 ect). Now I’m beyond overwhelmed with this and I have to go alone with her because her dad can’t get off work. Every time I think about them wheeling her away from me I get teary.

@mimixtmn, girl the part I’m scared about is her freaking out when they wheel her away they said when she starts to wake up they’ll let me come in so she’s not confused and scared
@theycallmemommy, they said she’ll prob sleep the first day knowing my child she’ll ask for McDonald’s
Also she has long hair I’m scared to get water in her ears while washing it

Oh ok. They gave a sedative before they took him back so I assume they will do the same for your daughter. They called it “ happy juice” he was so happy, the nurse carried him back to the OR. The doctor will give you ear plugs to keep them dry.

@kimmyx4, That’s exactly what I was scared the most about with t and he was totally fine they made him feel real comfortable. Braid her hair in single braids or something that will last so you don’t need to wash it for the first bit. I did that with Mariah’s hair when she got her stitches so we didn’t have to worry.

Awww serenity will be fine mama... Tavontae had surgery to remove his adenoids when he was 5 as well. I was terrified and needless to say I overthought everything and made myself paranoid he went off with them like it was nothing and the surgery was done before I knew it. If she isn’t allowed to eat during recovery time make sure u grab something to eat while she’s in surgery my hospital wouldn’t allow parents into recovery until they had eaten but I’m not sure every hospital is like that.

It will be ok! I had to take my youngest to get tubes in by myself because my husband had to work and my mom watched my oldest since we had to be there early. Honestly, it took 15 mins for the whole procedure. I sat down in the waiting area and the doctor no sooner care out and they were done. He was cranky afterwards and slept when we got home. By the next day he was back to his normal self!
My 6 year old and I got our nails done today. She got her first manicure and they painted Olaf on her thumb! Some people have expressed that they think she's to young to be getting a manicure. I used the manicure as a bribe to get her to stop biting her nails and if it works...I'm going to keep taking her bi weekly when I go for a fill. I remember my parents not letting me get a manicure until I was in high school. Is it really so strange for a little girl to regularly get manicures?

I can't believe it My cousin stayed with me rent free from September 2015 to April 2016 and her stuff is still in my apartment. She's been saying she was going to come get her stuff for months. She text me this morning saying that she was going to come and get her stuff soon, and I asked her if I could have her air mattress. She tried to charge me $60 for it. The air mattress sells new for $35 on amazon and she didn't even pay $60 for it. I didn't respond and she just text me saying the $60 was for a microwave she bought me and her air mattress. When she got the microwave, it was a gift. Then when my son was in the hospital from October to January out of town, I was going to get my internet service turned off until I returned home. My cousin was doing school work online, so I paid for it while I was away so she could use it. I'm trying to figure out a response to her. ?
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
