It was a long process. They did blood work to make sure I was healthy and make sure I didn't smoke / drugs or have any nicotine in my system. I gave them a family background and pic of me as a child and adult. Then once a family picked me they started giving me shots to make my eggs bigger for retrieval. I came in every day for 3 weeks. They poked once arm and the next day the next arm every day, the last day u came in once in morning and once at night then I came back at 6 am next day and they put me under and retrieve my eggs. I was only under for like two minutes while they took my eggs. I was never scheduled at the same time or day as my person who was wanting my eggs as it was very confidential and I had to sign a form saying I would never try to look for "my kid". I was given 5000$ in 100 dollar bills but this was in 2007, now they give 10,000$ plus
Oh okay cool. She pretty much explained the same process. Did you have any side affects?
With consumer DNA testing there’s no such thing as confidential any longer.
I have a friend who did. Think long and hard about it and how you’ll handle when your child comes looking for you later in life.
@squishymommy1 she's been weighing her options for months already. This is what her and her husband decided. She starts her injections soon.
You can set it up like sperm donations and keep your info confidential so if you don’t want the child finding you later in life you have that option.
@sleepymommy, with consumer DNA testing sperm and egg donations are no longer anonymous
No maam
