I feel as though i might have too many baby clothes. Particularly size 0-3 months. Do you guys think i’ll have enough newborn size though? I didn’t buy many cuz i know he wont be in that size long, if at all. Do you think i have too many size 0-3? i bought everything used on yard sale sites and only spent like 70 bucks so theres no loss if i have way too much. I didn’t know id have this much 😂

yeah as soon as he outgrows them. i’ll probably put them back on the yardsale site. just because you can sell them cheaper there than they’ll sell them at goodwill.

I think that’s a pretty good amount. Babies change a few times a day with the spit ups and blow out diapers.

Never really too much, I can’t tell you how many clothes we’ve thrown out because baby poop stains!

There will be days when you go through 4 outfits because poop and spit up. Then they go through a drool stage... get these drool bibs. They're cute, SO MANY COLORS AND PATTERNS, and they will save the cute clothes!

So far, my baby has only worn a onesie like 5 times and he is almost 4 months old- so basically all the NB and 0-3 onesies were a waste because it was so cold and he is now in 3-6 (he lives in sleepers and occasionally an outfit). Even though he was 8 lbs 8 oz at birth, he wore NB about 3 weeks- 0-3 were super huge- I had about 6 NB sleepers I would wash every few days that he would wear. Depending on the weather, I think you might need more NB sleepers, BUT 0-3 could work, they will just be big most likely. Anything over 20 in any category is really not needed. Especially the 80 0-3 month onesies. If tags are off, no harm, just make sure to have him wear your favorites :) otherwise you might be disappointed. I think 10 is the magic number for baby items in season- so for cold weather 10 sleepers, warm weather 10 onesies. More are fine, but really like I said over 20 they might not get much use if any.

and yeah i know the 80 onesies in 0-3 is way too much. i didnt plan it like that. i was buying “sets” of clothes off yardsale sites. and for 70 bucks i got about 200 pieces of clothing. i didnt know there were that many though when i bought them lol

:) you’re welcome! Oh I understand. I prob had around 50 onesies in 0-3 and like I said, he only wore a few!!! We don’t keep the house super warm, so even inside he doesn’t wear them. Only on the occasional warm day we go out- though usually sleepers are still needed. One thing I didn’t see counted are gowns- they are usually One Size and fit 0-6 or 0-9 month. They are really helpful the first few months at night- well first few weeks in particular. Have 2-3 are nice.
If you get more newborn sleepers though, make sure they are the ones with the fold over mitts. So much easier than putting the little gloves on separately.
