@athenia823 No. If you want they could help you teach them. But it is a requirement when they start preschool. My 3 year old has already started preschool. And my son as well will be starting this September.
@athenia823 they actually help with potty training. My 3 year old wasn't potty trained and thanks to them within a couple weeks she got the hang of it. And never had an accident.
Whenever you feel is ready? Ds1 is in the 3yo prek since they have better resources for his speech delay. Some kids need to be in 3yo, some are good with starting in the 4yo programs, and some kids don't need prek at all.

Amen! I was thinking "12 weeks" Haha. All seriousness though I think the BEST time is 18M. I had my son in part time bc my work is somewhat flexible until a month or so ago. His development, social skills, everything has skyrocketed in just that month. The ONLY downside I see to daycare is the cost.
true story!! But it's better that they get sick and build up that immunity now than when they start Elementary school and miss out there! But yes, the kennel cough that goes around at this age is crazy hahaha.

Both of my toddlers started early head start at age 2. But they call it toddler school instead.

I put my daughter in head start when she was 3. She will be 5 in May and will start kindergarten in September.
