saw this post & thought it should be shared.. i see a lot of ppl post on fb or wherever that they’re going to the ER bc they’re “sick” with the “flu” .. that’s what dr offices are for. i PROMISE you the ER staff is cussing under their breath bc y’all go in the ER for a runny nose, cough, & fever. GO HOME & SLEEP. it’s not that freaking hard. if your arms & legs aren’t sliced off & you’re not bleeding out STAY OUT OF THE ER.

urgent care too!! that’s what they’re there for! i’d take going to dr & urgent care over the er any day

We called triage in the middle of the night when my 6 month old had the flu. They told us to go to the ER because he was dehydrated and couldn’t keep fluids down. Everything else was closed so the ER was our only choice. But yeah, it definitely depends on the situation. I always call triage first to get their recommendation.

i’m talking about the grown people who are coughing & have a fever who walk on into the ER expecting some magic treatment, when 10/10 they’ll be sent home to rest. like really people?!

Oh my god I’ve seen it more now since being on mom life people go to the ER for a fucking SPLINTER. 🙄

Our ER has Fast Track for these types of things. Kind of like Urgent Care inside the ER.

none of the ER’s in my area have that, we’ve just got separate urgent cares. that’s a good idea tho

Thank you!!! I hate seeing people with a cold saying they are going to the E.R. like whyyyy sit down paranoid patty...take some nyquil or theraflu and go to SLEEP. If you are not about to die...stay out the E.R lol

Theres a lot of symptoms that comes with the flu . Doctors could give you an prescription for better medicine . Antibiotics etc also they have masks in waiting room and they wear masks for these specific reasons . It’s flu season I thought I had a cold that turned into bronchitis...

If my son has a fever isn't eating or drinking then I'm going idgaf 😂😂😂. Yes he had the flu but I wouldn't have known unless I went to the er . If my son was at least drinking then I would of stayed home but you can't just leave a toddler like that or baby. I stayed home for mine ofcourse I caught it from my son . It only lasted 3 days but I like to be safe and actually know what's going on with my kids .
