Do any moms pump at work? Do they have a special room reserved for you or do you just go to the bathroom?
I pumped in my office. I work in prison so my office has a big widow to the hall so staff can check on each other. I would hang a curtain up and lock the door. Then just take the curtain down when I was done.
I pump at my desk. I usually bring a blanket to cover up. The muslin swaddle blankets work really great as a cover up because they’re light. What type of job do you have?
@miss_understood, Nope I don’t. I honestly don’t care and just do it out in the open. No one seems to care but I work with mostly all women and they understand. I used to go to another room but it seemed like such a hassle.
ETA: I do cover up though.
@rina414 I work with all men 😩 but maybe if I used the blanket they wouldnt even notice or pay any attention
@miss_understood, Yeah throw a blanket over yourself and wear a cardigan. Usually everyone is so busy they don’t even notice or hear the pump.
I don’t breastfeed but my company has multiple “mothers rooms” around the building that you can reserve for specific times to pump. They have everything you need to continue working if you want to also. So we’re allowed to take our laptops in and not have to make up hours at a later time or miss breaks.
That is awesome! My company has none of this and I'm wondering if I should talk to them about it.( I'm the only woman in the company)
@miss_understood, I definitely would! By law they have to accommodate a BF mother. Here is a website you can use to help support your case when you go to talk to them!
Its a Lil private room for breastfeeding moms
I heard every job by law has to have a breastfeeding room now at least here in California they do
I thought that was the case. My company doesn't and I'm thinking about going to them to see about it.
@miss_understood, yeah i would deff talk to them
What would you do with $25,000
If you received an extra $25,000. What would you do with it? ?

How do you like your steak?
starbucks
What do you get?
I do not pump but my other mom friends talk about the freemie liberty pump. You don’t need to plug it in and it fits in your bra so nobody would even know your pumping. My friend works at a desk job and she just pumps at her desk and nobody even realizes. I don’t think it makes a lot of noise either.
