Tattoo while breast feeding. Thoughts? I read online that the ink they use today doesnt get into your milk and with proper care it shouldn't be a problem as long as it's not infected, but I'd like to hear from moms with tattoos that breast fed. Did you wait until you were done? I will also be asking my doctor this at my next appointment.

I’m waiting until I’m done to get more tattoos just to play it safe. Not every tattoo artist is the same though, in my opinion it’s not worth the risk

I don’t think any reputable tattoo shop would do a tattoo on a mom who just had a baby. My guy won’t even start until I’m 6 months postpartum and that’s with a note from my DR. I don’t think it’s worth the risk

Tattoo shops have a form asking if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Most "good" tattoo artists won't work on you if you are breastfeeding. The ones who will just want your money and don't care.
