We switched our daughter to whole milk and pediasure a few days before she turned one. She’s been very mucusy ever since. Which was January 19th. She’s had non stop mucus in her throat causing her to cough a lot. I recently was giving more pediasure than whole milk because of this (even though pediasure is milk based). I just gave her a bottle of whole milk because she didn’t eat much lunch, within 10 seconds she was 5X more mucusy and coughing while drinking it. We are going to be taking her to an ENT just in case it’s something other than the milk causing this, but i’m thinking of switching to a substitute either way. Her dad is allergic to whole milk and I hear that it’s not great for your overall health.

I'd consider a pediatric GI and a nutritionist. She seems to have had issues for a long time with foods.

we used almond milk a while ago when she refused her formula but I got a lot of crap for it because it’s not fatty enough i guess 🤷🏻♀️

@boymom123, I’ll look into it! Ive also been looking into A2 milk but i’m concerned it’s the dairy in milk that is making the mucus worse

The rest they need to get from natural fats, oily fish and the usual balanced diet. You can get dairy free yogurt and cheeses too
