I asked my midwife last week because I had the same experience. She said once contractions are very painful and five minutes apart. Or if water breaks

Water breaks, or consistent contractions (3-5 min apart) you can download a contraction timer on your phone, I know a lot of ladies use that and it really helps.

I went when the pain was intolerable but nearly didn't make it! He was born 10 mins after arrival. I had no idea I was in full blown labor. So much easier than being induced!

How was it for you to be induced with your 1st?? Dr told me i might end up getting induced bc no signs of baby being born anytime soon he i'm due by the 21st & i'm scared??

Don’t be scared!! I actually really liked it, besides the crazy pain. Being induced, it makes your contractions very constant and close together, and the most pain! Because it’s forcing your body to dilate. But if you stay relaxed, like with a peanut yoga ball between your legs, it should be a quick process! The key is to not let your body fight it.
