Mine tries to be romantic but I’d still love him either way. We show affection everyday so this one day is just another day.😂 I’d be okay with a movie night in with the kids. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@smoore1103, thanks. It’s not actually for Valentine’s Day. It just happened to fall on vday weekend. But we can pretend 😂 I honestly don’t care about the day. Just waiting for the 15th for discounted candy.

My family celebrated it also but it just wasn’t something they went all out on. I just don’t get the point of only one day a year is a celebration of love. I agree that some holidays doesn’t make any sense though. But now my sister LOVES Valentines Day. She goes and decorated and spend $$$, i guess she celebrates enough for the both of us.😂😂

Yeah I agree. I think what I enjoy is the creativity some SO’s go to to make the day special. My first year with Justin he had rose petals everywhere and honestly my first thought was yes it’s cute but i hope you don’t expect me to clean it up. Girl it’s been years later and I’m still finding petals!😂😂🤦🏻‍♀️

I wish my husband and I shared the same mindset on Valentines Day. I’ve never had sushi, I’m more of a Mexican style.😂🤷🏻‍♀️ Exactly what I mean, we show love every day so why make it any different.

I’ve been this way for as long as I can remember. Even in school I just didn’t care for it, especially having to make a valentines box and cards just so I can throw them away. That’s waisted money, paper and my time.🤦🏻‍♀️

Exactly! I just don’t feel the need to have one specific day where we buy items “out of love” when we do it anyways throughout the year. Which my husband does not share the same mindset as me on this subject.😂 I tell him all the time not to go and spend $100+ for Valentines Day save that money for a vacation or random date nights or for himself something. 💁🏻‍♀️ If he just has to buy flowers then by me perennial seeds so I can plant them and them re-bloom year round instead of dying within a week.

@saleena, I know that feeling, he asked me if I was going crazy🤪. A year later he just bought me a greenhouse because he realized I wasn’t crazy and I was being serious. I’d rather put in the work to have beautiful flowers that come back every year than some that cost way more and die shortly after they bloom. I actually remember telling him that I’d rather him save that money and just go in the yard and pick the buttercups that has bloomed. 💁🏻‍♀️
