So the Dr called and told me what I already knew, I failed the glucose test. He's sending me straight to the high risk doctor though, anyone else get sent straight there? Will they do a 3 hour test or not? I had thought they would before sending me to he high risk doctor in case I passed the three hour?

I failed my first one and they sent me back to do the 3 hour testing! Idk why they’d send you straight there!

Maybe you failed it by a lot? I failed mine by 1 point, and then took 3 hour and passed.

My number was 151 the cut off was 140, not sure how much is a lot.

I failed my one hour and then they sent me for 3 hour and I passed. No high risk doctor for that though.

I didn’t go to a high risk doctor, I did the 3 hour test a few days later. You must’ve failed by a lot of points

With gestational diabetes you are considered “high risk” you are more likely to have certain things they have to look out for. 151 is a lot by their standards. So they will probably tell you to see a doctor at MFM and you’ll get more ultrasounds to monitor babies growth and all that.

Yeah, I was high risk last time, but last time they sent me for the three hour though so I was a little confused

@rariszoo, when you miss it by a lot, which you did, they won’t require you to take the 3 hour one. At least that’s word for word what my doctor told me.

I would think that they would want you to do a 3 hour. It’s usually not until 200 that they diagnose you without doing the 3hour.
I failed my hour this last pregnancy with a 197, and I passed my 3 hour.

I was high risk during my last pregnancy, that may be why. This is my second time with GD
