Fml ugh I just realized that i dont have insurance yet switch from one to another and my husband drop the ball well i really did because i did not make sure he did it. So if i make an appointment to get this damn birth control out i am going to have to pay out the ass!!! Just my luck now on to decide if I want to wait for the insurance or to pay out the ass to get it out. Decisions decisions. Think I'm going to call the office and see how much it will cost and then go from there.

I do know they have a payment plan and program for people that have no insurance i just never had to use it. So i am going to see how much i need.

Girl that SAME crap happened to us... only I KNEW it was gonna happen, just thought we'd be ok! We were switching my son and I from my work insurance, to all three of us bein on my husband's work insurance. Well... mine was good til January 2nd at midnight and Kirk's would start January 5th, at midnight so technically the 6th. I thought...we'll be FIIIINNEE for 4 days, we can make it, no one's been sick lately. Yeah....my kid got an ear infection and the start of strep...LIKE 2 DAYS IN TO THE 4 DAY GAP! Haha! Now we have a LOVELY little bill from the after hours clinic (at LEAST I talked my husband outta the ER, THAT would have been an awesome bill!) and had to pay a pretty penny for those antibiotics! Girl, I was a crazy person when I first noticed a fever coming over this child! Like....NOOOOOO, THE GAP! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO ABOUT THE GAAAAPP?? DON'T YOU KNOW WE CAN'T BE SICK... THE GAAAAPP!! LMAO!! If you CAN, I'd wait for insurance to kick in. Unless you have WAY longer to wait than I did, then start considering your options. Good luck mama!

I have a way longer gap because my husband say he did it then never did in till like maybe 2 to 3 weeks ago. 😞 luckily the girls and him are covered.

damn. At LEAST the kids are covered though, that would be a HUGE relief to me! I HOPE your doc doesn't charge something crazy for removal. I think they should do that shit for FREE girl! I mean.... they put something in your body, with the promise of one thing but instead just get a bunch of random side effects and feel like crap all the time. The LEAST they could do would be to take it out real quick! How long could a removal POSSIBLY take anyway?!??!

@leonardsquared right like the cost of putting it in should have the cost of taking it out so when it time your not getting charged twice.

If there is a planned parenthood by you it reduces the cost a lot. I had mine in my arm and becaise of the 3 year mark i wanted it out and replaced. Cost less then 100 for me.

I do have 2 by me i could go to and that would be my last option since i really trust my doctor and really have bad anxiety over doctors messing with me and not knowing then and it being inside my body i would just like her to take it out.
