I've had 3. No issues. I only had my 3rd for an hr and a half from him starting for process of putting it in to them taking it out after birth. I went from 5 to 10 in 30 mins. It sped up my labor significantly.
Get it, I have had three and no back problems from it. The numbing needle is a little pinch and then the other part is just uncomfortable pressure. Not that bad at all. The hardest part for me was trying to keep still during contractions because I waited until they were pretty horrible.
Tbh its scary, but you will be much more comfortable. Its 10 minutes of scary that will pay off for hours of finally getting to hopefully relax, just trust your doctors and everything will turn out just fine! You got this!
I had zero issues with the epidural either time. Getting it was fine. It allowed me to nap before I met my babies. It also seemed to help me dilate quicker because I was relaxed. Then pushing worked great too. I have no back issues to this day. I would highly recommend it. You get to meet your baby soon! Best of luck!
@natalie.bolinao no it was more of a sting and like a weird bone rubbing feeling the only thing that hurt was the contractions and having to sit still for them to put the needle in but all I want to do was move or throw something for the pain. I move for some old reason when i am in pain.
@natalie.bolinao well...I had one because my baby was breeched. I cried. The nurse let me hug her while I cried. I was afraid of it and it didn't hurt and I'm afraid if needles. If you are in unbearable pain then I say get it. U won't feel a thing afterwards. Not one thing....😊
@natalie.bolinao oh and as for the risks you make sure they explain them all to u. I think that's the fear I had but I had no choice due to my c-section. I promise u all will be ok and u got this!
