I’m a first time mom. My son is two weeks and two days old. I absolutely love him to death. I am trying to breastfeed but having to supplement with formula because I’m not producing a lot 😕 any tips? #myfirstpost

I actually do have wic but I don’t think they have a lactation consultant 😕 and the ones at the hospital I gave birth at weren’t really involved and every time I told them he was cluster feeding and staying latched to me, I would get told “you’re doing a great job momma” and then they’d walk out. They wouldn’t even look to see if he was properly latched or anything. I thought about trying the tea but I worried I wouldn’t like it. Does it taste okay? I honestly want to try a different pump and try the lactation pills but I haven’t had time to get either one
@chaybug01 it don't taste that bad to me I found it easy to drink call and see if the have a breastfeeding consultant they helped me every time and stood with me until I felt comfortable

Welcome! Your baby is only 2 weeks old so his belly is still so small so you dont need to produce much. Keep nursing everytime hes hungry even if it feels hes attached to you all day. Hes helping you establish your supply. Also try drinking Gatorade. It replaces electrolytes as well as hydrates. Best of luck mama, sounds like you're doing a great job!
I am drinking Gatorade and my son eats a 4oz bottle now. (His doctor gave the okay) he’s got to the point he doesn’t like to latch on to me so he can nurse so that’s become another reason why. I’ve been pumping but I only get like two oz’s every three days

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that

Are you ladies up to tonight? I’m sitting here drinking some wine debating on taking a pregnancy test. I don’t really think I’m pregnant, but I have a leftover one in my purse from my last pregnancy. I usually get my period at the end of the month around the 20th and I haven’t gotten it yet. I am only 6 months pp and only have had two periods since having Jane. The chances I’m pregnant are slim to none to be honest, but it’s in the back of my head.
I had to do the same what helped me was mother's milk tea and sticking to feedings on demand and pumping after do you have any breastfeeding consultant you can go to there? here where I'm at our WIC office offer free consultation even if you don't qualify great resource ? @chaybug01
