My best friend posted this on fb and I felt it so hard. I’m all about making sacrifices to reach an overall reward and goal. I’ve lived check to check, parked the car and rode my bike, shopped second hand and still do and even had three jobs and worked seven days a week for five years so I know with sacrifice you can reap serious rewards!
It’s hard for people to escape the mindset that comes along with poverty. I say that in a non-judgmental way. Often people just don’t know any better. I wish more of those refunds would go towards helping lift a family out of poverty instead of going on a vacation, buying designer clothes & bags, etc. I know we all enjoy the fine things in life, but it does take sacrifice and hard work like you mentioned in your comment.
I’m not all about buying designer clothes. It’s all about Ross, dd’s discount, burlington and those good stores. But yea people do use their money on that type of designer stuff.
I never understood why people use the money towards vacations, or materialistic things. &’ Then struggle again afterwards. Wouldnt it just be easier to pay your debts, cut your monthly expenses so you can put more money down on other debts you have left. That way you avoid paying higher interests, improve your credit. &’ Eventually be debt free.
or if you recieve money for the kids, put it away for savings for your childs future?
