Today I was told I have precancerous cells in my cervix. Anyone else have this did it go away or develop into something worse?

I bet you’re frightened bc it sounds scary. Just make sure you talk with your OB and ask lots of questions. There is so much technology and treatment now. I’m hoping the best for you 💜 here if you ever need to talk

I did when I was younger. Do you know what stage?? For me I had the least cancerous precancerous cells (sorry can’t think of the terminology) and I had cryotherapy. My OB froze my cervix w nitrogen I believe. She did a tiny bit at a time and I experienced a lot of cramping. For the next several weeks I believe I had discharge as my cervix thawed. I’m not sure what practices are like now bc I was 19 and I’m gonna be 33 this year. But I haven’t had an abnormal Pap smear since then. I had HPV but nothing now.
