Am I the only one who always feels like I’m being criticized by my partner? No matter what he always has something to say, his favorite one right now is why am I copying someone else life🙄 just because I like something or doing something new doesn’t mean I’m trying to be like someone else😪
Also I can never really go to him about anything I’d rather keep it in to myself every time I try and talk about something he’s saying how stupid it is or shows no interest 🙄 whyyyy do I even bother if I always get the same outcome.....I just want to pretend he isn’t there

Nope, in the same boat as you.

It sucks because I don’t think I ever tried to make him feel the way he makes me feel and to be honest I wouldn’t care if he just finds someone else 🥴😪and I don’t even cry about it anymore I’m more of whatever just irritating
Cass··
Right? I hear ya, girl. I'm starting to feel the same way as well. Mine seems to be b*tching the most about money especially on what I spend the funds he gives me like earlier he threw the biggest fit about me getting so many pairs of jeans. 🙄

@lttlsgrmm, yea I hate that too I feel you on that I always tell him I want to feel good about myself too🤷🏻♀️ it’s funny because they look at all these girls done up online and in real life to but don’t want you to keep up your appearance😪 at least mine use to complain about letting myself go and when I put thought into myself he’s asking whyyyy🙄

Most guys are not like that, you are with the wrong guy sweetheart. If you are in a place where you can leave him, I would do so. That is not love. I'm in an unhappy marriage but feeling stuck like I can't afford 3 kids on my own even with child support so i don't know what to do. I'm sorry he treats you like that. Please don't think it's normal though bc it's not. He has his own issues that has nothing to do with your own self worth. YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH. You are too good for him & he doesn't deserve you. He probably knows that & is insecure so he's trying to make sure you don't realize it & leave. Why else would a person treat someone like that? That's why they do it. They try to make you believe you can't do better so you stay. Trust me it's a reflection of his own problems, do not let it break down your self esteem. ❤🤗 Hugs! If you can't leave him then you need to let him know that his words are unacceptable & that you deserved better from him. Good luck mama!

@justmeee You feel that way bc it's 100% true. Of course he'll never admit it bc he doesn't want you to know. He doesn't want you to know you can find someone that treats you right. If you loved a guy would you treat him like that? There is always gonna be guys (and women) with issues that treat women badly, but I assure you that this is not normal, it's definitely not a "joke", it's not okay & there are normal nice guys out there that you deserve. It's verbal abuse & a form of brainwashing. They try to play it off as joking but they aren't. He's going to say that he's just kidding & you need to lighten up so you start to question your own sanity. Do not stay with him mama. You deserve true love & your children deserve to see what a healthy relationship looks like. You don't want them to grow up thinking this is how a guy treats a woman.
This really hits home for me bc my best friend was in a relationship for years with a guy like this & it broke my heart! When he would say things like that to her she would just laugh it off, but I could see the hurt & pain in her eyes! I wanted to cry for her & make her realize it wasn't right! Of course I tried telling her but she wouldn't listen. She got pregnant with him & stayed for way too long until she finally had enough & left him.
I know it's hard to leave, bc well look at me. But i'm working towards it & I won't stop until I can leave him. I'm paying off bills so I can afford to get away. Do what you have to do to be happy. 🤗

That's exactly right, he freaking insecure. My husband is the only man who has done and said this kind of crap to me. My therapist even said he was insecure after the stuff I told her

@onehotmess, more than just @justmeee needed to hear this. That’s a great motivational speech mama 💪🏽💕

Just wanted to say this reminds me of my husband. When I talk to him about anything he seems uninterested or just says nothing. That's why I barely talk to him about anything. I am my own best friend these days

reminds me of my daughter’s father. I’m still on the “I think I love him” side of the fence, but I’m also looking over at the “I hate him” portion.
He’s never interested in anything I say unless he’s asking for sex and I tell him to take care of the baby or I need to wash dishes or cut her nails. Then, and only then, he’s quick to assist. Other than him wanting sex, he really doesn’t show that he cares about us.
& When we fight, he doesn’t go out of his way to come into the nursery and kiss her goodnight or bother kissing her goodbye before he goes to work in the mornings. When we fight, it’s like his excuse not to have to deal with her. That’s the “I hate you” side of it 😖
