Question If two people already have herpes and it's the same kind and they been in a long term relationship one is having a outbreak and the other is not I can't have one because they both already got herpes right?

@alexisroger200, Your welcome I’ve had a few patients recently who’ve asked the same questions. Most don’t realize outbreaks are triggered by the immune system. Some people and couples go years without outbreaks.
You can’t re-catch it but it may cause an outbreak in the person who wasn’t already having one I’d assume.
I looked up it literally say u can't get a outbreak because you both have same herpes
@alexisroger200, hmm. Well the more you know right?
I honestly wasn’t sure if it could cause an outbreak in the other person or not.
If two people both have the same strain of herpes, one partner having and outbreak will not trigger the other in turn. A herpes outbreak is an immunoresponse (triggered by your immune system) 🙂 If both people are medicated to prevent outbreaks it should cut the frequency down. L-lysine can help as can oil of oregano oil and a few others (to shorten the length of the outbreak)
