Today went for scan then after seen consultant I told her I was having some pressure down below and I presumed I have a low cervix still so she put a glove on a went up and checked when my cervix was I’m 12+6 but I completely forgot to ask her if that was safe for her to check because Iv read many people saying don’t check your cervix while pregnant and now I’m full of worry that something bad is going to happen

I've had at least 2 internals this time round, once with a speculum and one just using a gloved hand, im now 39 weeks tomorrow, I even had a cervix irritation (sweep) last week and that hasn't done anything either xx
I mean I had it done dinner time today and not had no spotting/bleeding ect had a few trapped wind cramps 😂 but don’t think that was connected xx
I mean that’s what I also thought is there much difference between sex/foreplay to a cervix check xx
Sex can irritate the cervix, happened to me in the first trimester, had a bit of bleeding :) but didn’t happen again :) xx
No just her fingers/hand with a glove on she went quite far up and said it’s high up and feels like a nose xx
No sex and foreplay isn’t much different.
I’ve had a stretch and sweep and that’s very invasive... the midwife puts fingers into your cervix and tries to stretch it with fingers and it was very painful :)
I mean a penis is more rough than fingers on a cervix... she was only feeling it not going into it :) it would be closed anyway :)
Think the main concern is infection... but should be fine. If worried contact her xx

I dont get the whole don’t check your cervix tbh,
But if sex I fine during pregnancy it shouldn’t be any different :)

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that
I have an appt to check my baby's growth and check my cervix today. I'm at risk for preterm labor and was wondering when they check my cervix through ultrasound if they can see if I'm dilated or anything like that?
36 got my cervix checked and NOTHING & swabbed for strep. I need for this to over. I’m having some rabbit sex
When did you ladies start getting checked to see if your dilating? I am 36 weeks 4 days and not once have any of my doctors checked to see if I am or not.. Only been checked to see if my son is head down, and he is.. Last week I went and the doctor said that she didn't wanna check to see if I was dilating cause she didn't wanna "mess with my cervix" 😕 or "get things started" those were her words... FTM
Had my cervix checked (at hospital) on Sunday 1cm dilated.... go today my doc says I’m not dilated at all . Ummmmmmmmm 🤷🏾♀️
No it won’t cause anything bad. Bit odd for her to check though what was she feeling for? X
