Has anyone ever heard of "honor abuse"?
I'm not asking because I don't know, I'm just wondering if anyone on here is aware that it's a real problem.

It's a type of emotional abuse. To put it simply, parents do it to their children by saying things like if you don't honor your family and traditions, you're dead to them. It's definitely common in religious families.
