How do you tell if your cervix is dialated? Can you do that from home?

I cant rly hardly reach to wash the dang thing my poor husband has to do it hahah I have an apt tues but they havent chkd me for anything besides heart rate since 20w. And even then I was too swollen to chk cervix

Reach all the way up... it will either feel like your chin(hard) or your lips(soft). If you can fit one finger in then you are 1cm. It is perfectly safe to check yourself at home, just make sure you wash your hands really well before doing it. My dr even told me it was safe. I mean cmon now... if you have sex a penis is hitting it 😂 so how bad can your own fingers really be.

Before I was pregnant I could feel it. Now my belly is in the way even if I wanted to. Your doctor doesn’t do it without suspicion because it can cause more harm than good. Even with my cleanest hands I wouldn’t go looking especially if I’d never felt it before and didn’t know what to feel for.

The only time I knew I was dilated is when I start to have contractions here and there like baby was coming and then stoped since that how my body was the first time and that was at about 35 weeks. Aslo no you can not do it from home since you have a belly and don't want to get infected trying to do it.

Never ever do this on your own even if people says they have done it, you are not a doctor and it is not safe !!
