I tried using the Avent soothies when she was around a month or two but she never cared for them. My cousin breastfed her 3 boys and none of them took to a pacifier either.
Sammmme. My son still uses pacifiers, but my girl prefers the boob 🙄 having the two different babes, I would much rather being able to use a pacifier than my tata 😂
I tried introducing one to my son but he never wanted one. He preferred my nipple. I once heard the phrase, “A baby doesn’t use the pacifier as a nipple, they use the nipple as a pacifier.” It’s true.
With my daughter I decided to skip the pacifier part but I was breastfeeding at the time and she started to cluster feed a lot which I think she used by boobs a lot of the time to soothe herself instead of just to feed which shortly caused a lot of pain during breastfeeding Im not sure if not giving her the pacifier worked for me or against me but I never had to worry about weening her from a pacifier
2 pacifier and 2 without, I prefer pacifier. My oldest were more calm with their “shut ip button” my 3rd was very loud for the first year and then from then until now (4yrs) he is sucking on empty bottle 😖 and my youngest is a thumb sucker, its soo much harder to wean them off bottle and thumb then it was with pacifier.
We didnt. My son wouldn't take them so we just didn't bother after trying for a while with different brands. He didn't take any of them. It was kind of a blessing, we never had to wean him off of them. 🤷
i didn't want to give it to him only bc i saw the stories of taking them away and how hard it can be! i breastfed so normally i would pop him on the boob if he got fussy 😂 my grandma gave him a paci sometimes and he would take it but then take it out and be like wtf? and throw it out 🤷🏽♀️ people told me "you better get him a paci or you'll never sleep" and here i am getting 8 hours with a 1 week old cause he likes to comfort nurse often

I didn’t use them with any of my 6 kids. I tried w 2 of them but they didn’t want them.

I breastfed both of mine, they rarely cried so I never gave them a paci!

My daughter hated the pacifier. Took us awhile to get her off of the bottle though.
