It really depends on how bad it is. They will give you a class on what diet you need to follow (basically, low sugar, low carb). And they will give you a glucometer - a little device to check your sugars. And if it’s controlled with just diet and exercise, you will just get some growth ultrasounds to make sure that the baby isn’t too big. I struggled with my fasting sugars (before food), so they had to put me on metformin. That helped, so I never had to take insulin. But because I was on medication, I had to get an ultrasound and a non stress test done every week. And because of the whole diabetes thing, I was scheduled for an induction at 38 weeks - the baby decided to come out on her own though, on the same exact day when my induction was scheduled - it’s like she knew lol
Still, hopefully, you’ll pass your 3-hr test!

I had it with my last pregnancy and just got diagnosed again with this pregnancy. Had my first dose of insulin last night.

I was with my last pregnancy but I’m going do everything I can to fight it this go round
Lots of green veggies and water small amounts of bread got me through my last pregnancy safely
After I delivered I was 30 pounds lighter than when I conceived

I failed the first test where you have to sit in the waiting room for an hour after drinking the juice. So I had to do it again but this time I had to sit in the waiting room for three hours. If I fail again what will happen? I would assume that means I have gestational diabetes. But does that mean I have to take insulin? Or do I have to just cut out the sweets?
