Do any of y’all encourage your child to say a word incorrectly because it’s so dang cute? My son has started saying “pappy” for his pacifier, and it’s absolutely adorable 😭 I know I shouldn’t go along with it, and I should correct him, but my heart!
We dont encourage our daughter to say words incorrectly. We speak to her normally as we do other people When she does mispronounce words, we just let it be, she will eventually get it.
My favorite is when she says “ Watermelon “ which ends up sounding “ menammenammenam “ 🤣🤷🏻♀️
I don't correct it. I've learned that kids will do things the "right way" as they get older and until then...I cherish all of the cute little things like mispronounced words. They'll learn how to say it correctly soon enough.
