Ladies I’m confused on what to do....my ob told me I couldn’t come into the hospital unless my water broke or I was having contractions 3 mins apart, lasting 1 minute, and for 1 hr. She also stated she doesn’t allow her patients to come in until they become to painful to walk or talk through. With my previous pregnancies I didn’t get that way until 9cm and I don’t want to wait until then when we live an hr away from the hospital.
My OB said the same thing. I definitely understand why they say that. Otherwise, too many people go in just to get sent home. When you think it’s time just tell them you think your water is leaking and that will give you a chance to get seen.
Naw.... she sounds insane. I would go when I feel the time is right. Every pregnancy is different. Tf
Start crying at act like that pain it too much to handle. I took a hot shower and about 5min after my water broke. Idk if that was the reason or not. But I wasn’t in labor they had to induce me. I’m just saying.
Go in. I could talk through my contractions and I got to the hospital I was at an 8 with a bulging bag.
@chadandtanya14, @mummaof2munchkins, Many ladies have had issues with her and I have also. If I wasn’t so far along I would be switching ob’s.
Check in if you feel like its go time. &’ If the hospital turns you away, i would stay close to the hospital. Do your walks nearby to speed up the process. I definitely would not go home and wait it out, especially if youre an hour away.
@aengs2, I have absolutely zero patience for this lady! I was in the hospital last week for high blood pressure and was checked and was 50% effaced and 1cm at the time then I saw her 3 days later and she checked me and said I was 30% effaced and not dilated. I asked her how that was even possible and she said idk but we would just go with what the doctor at the hospital said.
