So I did a tax refund estimator to see about how much we will be getting back this year. (We have some home improvement things that have to be done)
I expected to get around 4000$ as that’s pretty close to what we got last year. According to the tax calculator we should be getting more than that back. Like... a lot more. If we do it’ll be such a blessing. Here’s to hoping the tax estimator wasn’t wrong! 🥂

Ditto we barely break even some years and that’s was when we could claim work expenses which they did away with 🤦🏻♀️
We're getting a lot back too. 5 figures. The h&r block lady told us if everything stays the same this year we'll get even more back.
@santistevanmommie, ok! Do you think it’s pretty accurate? We only got 400$ back last year because I’m self employed and our tax lady didn’t help us at all as far as informing us on everything we could’ve claimed when the year before we were told we couldn’t claim anything and the year before we got 4,000$ back. So needless to say I’m scared for this year 😂
@-boytribe, honestly, we file with turbo tax every year. They go through the same things H&R do.
I think the tax estimator through them is most accurate. I’m gonna try to actually file today so I’ll let you know if it was close or not.
You can put in that info about you being self employed through turbo tax as well.
@santistevanmommie, ok! Yeah please let me know!! We went to H&R the last two years but this year we are seeing someone who “specializes” in licensed and unlicensed daycares so we were hoping that was a better route 🤷🏼♀️

@santistevanmommie, right? i can go to the er and be treated for $500 with no insurance. yet pay $800 a month and still have a ridiculous deductible to deal with.

@saintsmama I don't think we are getting penalized for health insurance anymore. I think Trump threw that out from Obama. I could be wtong though but I remember last year our tax advisor told us it didn't apply anymore. ❤
