If he's still a great father and will be then his. My first baby got mine because her dad was a legit dead beat. My second baby me and his dad broke up but he was still 100% there and I used his. We ended up back together anyways and I'm super glad I wasnt petty enough to listen to friends and family cause changing a last name would have been a hassle lol

In my opinion it depends on what terms y'all are on. Like if he's saying I'm going to take the baby from you and all this and that I wouldn't and I wouldn't put him on the birth certificate either. Those things can be changed after the birth of the baby if there is an agreement.

Id give my child my last name. But if you feel you should give your baby his or her fathers last name that is completely your choice, dont let anyone try to tell you differently. You do whats right for your baby and you.

Do whatever YOU feel comfortable with, not nobody else.
If it were me and he is going to be 100% there all the way and step up to his role as a father then, Id say give him his. If you he isnt going to, then yours.

Give your baby his last name because no matter what that will always be the baby’s dad even if you guys aren’t in the best terms and once your baby is old enough let him/her make decision they can always change it , but whatever you decide I’m sure it’s for the best mommy

Is he going to be in the child life consistently and steep up as a dad. If so, his last name if not then give the baby yours. It's ok if you aren't together if he's going to be in the baby's life then he has the right to his child having his last name. My opinion 😊

Your last name. It makes life easier when you aren't together. The doctors office and school will never question you. I am divorced and had to choose between a hyphenated name or my daughter's father's name for my daughter. I gave her his and kept my married name so there would never be any confusion. We're our own little family now. He's not in her life at all and I've never had to answer why we have different last names.

If It were me I would give the baby my last name if he wasnt having any part in the pregnancy or getting things for baby etc. If he is stepping up and getting ready like he should then I would give his last name because he is being a father even though yall arent together.
