I don’t usually rant here but I need someone outside the box to give me an opinion!!! Long story short. My mom lives in NY and she gave me her 1 y.o Shorkie pup a week after I gave birth (I already had 2 crazy girl and no sleep with my newborn) she gave her to me because SHE COULDNT TAKE CARE OF HER ANYMORE. She said she was in the cage all day long while everybody worked! Now I’ve had her almost 4 MONTHS! She is potty trained, obedient, I taught her how to lay, sit and stay and she WAS NOT TRAINED WHEN SHE GAVE HER TO ME. I spent money on food and little toys for her and I’m attached. And now she wants her back because she misses her ............wtf
Id tell her it's your dog now and all you have done with her. That she belongs to your family now and she gave her up. She should have kept the dog and took care of the dog and trained if she cared so much.
It was hard but I was determined cause I have carpet all over my house and I was NOTTTT WIDDDDITTTTT to have a dirty little house. Ew.
But on a side note ; how did you potty train her ? My 5 yr old chi\Shi is still not potty trained. We got her from a shelter too .
Treats are your best friend!!! Lots of them! And I’d literally take her out every 20-30 mins in my yard, especially after she ate. If she didn’t do anything I’d put her in her kennel. And when she did I would reward her and not put her in the kennel
@tsunamii, ok ima try that. I have been putting her in the kennel. I don’t let her have free run of house anymore. I sometimes leave her outside and she won’t poop until she comes in . She’s weird. Lols.
So she wanted you to do the hard work of training the dog and now that she realizes how good of a dog she gave up she wants it back. NOPE! I would tell her to get another dog because your girls are too attached.
Are work schedules any different? What's the difference from three months ago? That dog would be lonely away from her family and kids. I would tell her to find a new dog. She abandoned it and now you aren't willing to give her back after the kids got attached. Ridiculous.
Eff that she abandoned that poor puppy probably bc it was too much work. Now that you've done it all she wants to reap the benefits. I'd say no, the pup will likely still be neglected.
Congrats to you, that's a lot of work with babies
And taking the dog away from the children would be heartbreaking and hard to explain for them to understand. She can have visitation 🤣
Nope! I would tell her no she couldn’t care for her once she won’t be able to again. You put a lot of work into her and you and your kids are to attached now
What it sounds like to me is that your mom didn’t want to put in the effort to train the dog, so she pawned it off on you. Now that you’ve done all the work, she wants the dog back. I’d tell her that it’s your dog now. You’ve put in time, effort, and money into this dog. She lost her rights to it when she gave it to you
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
