I really wanna do the keto diet, it seems like the fastest way to lose weight. Or intermittenting fasting but it's just stressing me out. I feel like shit today. I feel like everyone is starting their weight loss journey around me and in stuck in this 271 lbs body and I hate it. I have no energy sometimes and just don't feel well. I like fruit mostly apples but they are high in carbs, so in just all in all stressed out with trying to lose weight but I HAVE TO LOSE WEIGHT. I'm going to just try do low carb but not quite keto. I know they are similar but still different. Any advice or motivation is appreciated.

I wouldn’t worry so much as losing weight quickly. I would focus on just overall lowering your carb intake and fasting a few days a week. Change your eating habits, eat in moderation and get more active. The weight loss will eventually catch up with you. Also, take measurements because those scales can lie! You CAN do this!

@ilovemygirls11031002, I got mine at Walmart, in the sewing area. I did measurements once a month and weighed daily using averages. I use Happy Scale app. Once I wasn’t budging on scale and was pretty frustrated. But then I measured and I lost 4in total! I was happy with that. But if the numbers bother you too much then do those monthly too!

I'll look into that app thank you so much for your advice!

also I read that low carb is keep your carb intake to 100-150grams per day. Is that not carbs? Or regular carbs? I'm still learning the difference.

It helps me to talk about it. I’m over weight and not happy with it, I’m on my journey and when I want to cheat I vent on here and someone will tell me NO! These other low carb/Keto moms on here will help you! 💕

I think changing eating habits and just making better decisions about what you eat is more important. Smaller portions, smaller meals and more frequently throughout the day. (Helps kick start the metabolism to eat smaller meals and more often. So say instead of 3 big meals do 5-6 small meals) it is a lifestyle change. Drink more water and stay active.
Fad diets only make it harder to lose weight the next time you decide to do the diet again. Like if you lower your calories from 2500 to 1600. The next time you want to lose weight you have to drop even more calories like 1500. Just for an example.
Our bodies need carbs. If you cut them out, your body can forget how to process them.
But I could be wrong. This is my opinion from the research I’ve done.

Yeah that's what imma do. Imma definitely lower my carb intake and eat better and work out and see what results I get from that.

Be very careful with the keto diet as that’s not very healthy and your not getting all the nutrients you need. There are other faster and safer ways to lose weight. I’m a health coach so have learned to share how with others. You want to make sure you are eating every 2-3 hours and that you drink lots and lots of water!! I found a plan that works for me and many that I know but it’s also a mind game on how bad you want it.
Also lean and green meals!
