We did BLW as well, but I just want to let you know that baby reaching for food doesn’t necessarily mean she’s ready for food. She just sees her parents doing it so she wants to mimic them. Lol

Anyways BLW is skipping purées and cereals and stuff like that.

My kids are vegetarian. We let them both try avocado on their 6 month bdays. We made purées with sweet potatoes, bananas, apples, avocado, pears.

First foods are innately vegan 🙂 started w mashed sweet potato and breastmilk, banana w breastmilk, mashed avocado. Then from there you can do small cubes or pieces of these foods. Then other small pieces of whatever you decide. Toast, soft cooked veggies, etc.

We are just starting if she doesn’t seem ready we won’t force it. But she already at 3 months trying to reach for what I have and opens her mouth to foods.

May I ask why you’re starting so early?

My daughter is vegetarian and we did BLW. Started with banana, avocado, and steamed vegetables. One per week until allergies were ruled out.
