Anything 104 and over that will not go down with Tylenol or ibuprofen then go to hospital. If you can give medicine and it goes down during the time frame of the medicine then call your pediatrician first thing and let them know what’s going on since they may want to do an office visit same day. Does she have any other symptoms?

My son just battled 103 temp for awhile. During medicine would go to 99

I was literally just going to type the same thing as @blessed2018w9
You should try Tylenol first. Does your daughters doctor office have an after hours number. Call them if they do and see what they recommend. Typically they will have you try switching between an ibuprofen (advil) and an acetaminophen (tylenol) every 4 - 6 hours. If that doesnt break the fever after a day or two they will want you to come in. It may sound silly also but less layers of clothing should help to drop her temp.

Motrin (ibuprofen) always brings my kids’ fevers down better than Tylenol.

Alternate Tylenol and Motrin if it doesn’t go down then I would take her to urgent care. Not the ER, but that’s just me.

I wouldn’t take her in unless it gets to 104 or just doesn’t come down. I’d just take her to her doc tomorrow. Too many things she could get at the ER.

My daughter had the same temp a while back for a few days (only at night) and it would go down with alternating meds. Turns out she had an ear infection 🤷🏽♀️ she was the same too, eating and playing regularly during the day, wasn’t even tugging at her ears or around the area. I finally took her in after three days of the 101/102 fevers.
