@xxoceanbabexx exactly! The benefits far outweigh the risks and the argument is always cases of such rare reactions to them that it's just not anything to base an argument on. Like if you drive a car, you might crash it and die. I bet that doesn't stop them driving. With everything in life, there is always risk, but the odds of it happening are so small. The odds of vaccinations eventually eradicating disease are great and proven. Here in Australia, we have officially eradicated rubella, directly because of vaccinations. I think that is an amazing feat. I don't understand how people can disagree with scientific evidence and facts, compared to scare mongering and emphasis on rare occurrences and stories.

@xxoceanbabexx, sorry I didn’t see and of course I would i only want what’s best for my kids and I worry all the time more so when I see stuff like this and it’s becoming more common . I would hate for it to be my fault for anyone to get sick .

@mamachey, i gatta say - as an anti vaxer I’m very impressed by the way your handling others throwing this at you. You keep an open mind and I hope you get the right information here and make the right choice to protect your children from future harm.

@mamachey I've had numerous lengthy discussion with my son's pediatrician. Including one just last night at his visit. We do not vaccinate and my doctor not only agrees but supports us. Do your research and speak to your child's doctor regarding your choices.

It’s tough making a decision when it comes to our kids because we want what’s best for them. Most things we hear, see or read about on the news is just fear mongering and hyped up. They only tell you what puts fear in you for rating purposes. It’s media.

When your child is sick with a fever do you give them Tylenol? Do you administer antibiotics for ear infections? Are any of your kids on an inhaler or need an epipen for allergies? What about pain management? Did you have an epidural when having any of your children? All big Pharma. And if you trust them for those reasons why not for vaccinations? In the end most of us call on big Pharma when an illness or medical crisis strikes.

I def understand your concern. Maybe talk to a trusted dr more about it.

My son was sent home form junior high because I had forgotten to get his vaccine for that age. They told me there were at least 7 known cases of it in my small county I live in. And it can cause death if he contracts it. I immediately took him to the health dept and got his vaccination. Not worth the risk for me.

@mamachey, also more often than not, most outbreaks start from unvaccinated people

@mama.kay, what about big pharma covering the stats and lying about the damage / side effects it can cost . Because this is a business after all they make insane profit the studies that take place often have a link to there phara companies in one way or another .

This is what really makes me not just go along like you are .

@mamachey, it’s not just big pharma giving stats. & If I’m going to believe a theory over something proven by many different sources.. then in my opinion I’m not doing the best I can for my child. But there are different moms out there that are opposite, like you, like I get and understand that. Pick anything and there’s either for or against. I just wish the statistics about unvaccinated children and people are usually either patient 0 or a carrier of a disease causing all these outbreaks. Like the outbreak in Pittsburg where an unvaccinated college kid accidentally exposed like 100 or something cancer patients.

@mamagunn.no.1 that's crazy yea ours are medical and religious as well. Other then that everyone going to school needs shots and records of it

@momof3dragons yeah same here. We do have discredited schools that unvaccinated kids go to called Steiner school's but they're few and far between and out in the middle of nowhere. A lot of them where closed down too.

@xxoceanbabexx, there are a few states that don’t allow any exception (except obviously medical reasons that cause inability to be vaccinated). I used to live in one of them.. I believe there’s only two though. West Virginia and I want to say New York or California (can’t remember which one)

We need to switch all states to that. This religious reasoning bullshit is just straight bullshit. Anyone can claim it’s for religious purposes. That’s why they made philosophical purpose an extra excuse. It’s stupid.

There’s no reason to not vaccinate your children.

@morganmommy79, i hear that , but according to Judaism - ANYTHING is okay to save a life . That’s why i don’t agree with the ones who claim it’s for religion ( Jewish people i mean ) cuz it’s obviously bull.

@mrsmord, that’s why I think it’s more of a fear they are justifying “legally”. Personally, I think they should have a separate school for the religiously unvaccinated. 😄 and my SIL does NOT vaccinate her children. I told my husband I don’t want to get my daughter around them especially until she has had all her vaccinations.

And the vaccine benefits outweigh any of the excuses people make I mean I understand if you can't because of allergy or something

@mrsmord I can't imagine my kids getting sick or dying from something they could have been vaccinated for...
