When did u start bathing baby and using oil on skin??? My baby girl is 4 days old tomorrow but her skin is so dry 🙈 she still has her umbilical cord so not sure when I can bath her 🙈but I’m thinking to start moisturising/oiling her skin

I just used a little bit of aveno moisturiser on the dry bits, done a little wash down with a bowl of water with baby bath in and cotton wool everyday then bathed after about 9 days xxx

Thanks hun yeah I’ve been doing the head to toe thing with cotton balls but she hates it 🙈

My boys cord didn’t fall off until he was 17 days old! I gave in and gave him a proper bath after 2 weeks though and just tried to keep cord dry as much as I could and all was fine. Until then just sponge bath. I waited a while to let the vernix soak into his skin x

Theos cord fell off day 3, we bathed him day 7. I would have put it off but he had a massive poo explosion and wet wipes wouldn't cut it 😒 we only bathed him once a week until he was about 6 months, then twice a week until he started walking and was always grubby, now its every day! We didn't use any soap and moisturised him every other day x
