Anyone have tips on getting rid of the pacifier? The first day we tried he went all day and night without it didn’t care at all and then the next day he wanted it for nap time and bed time and now we’re stuck on that but most times he won’t even nap if he doesn’t have it and bed time is already a struggle

You may just have to throw them away, and he may cry or fight sleep at first, but he will also learn how soothe himself without it.
My boy doesnt need his pacifier, hes 2, but I do let him have it at night time because its comforting to him..but he doesnt fight sleep or cry if he doesnt get it.

To be honest when I tried to take it from my son it was HELL. I took him to the dentist and he said until 3 it was fine. So I let it go. But I started to tell him his paci was gross and stinky so one day he went to the trash himself and threw it out saying “eww so stinky” and never asked for it again. He did it on his own and that worked better then forcing it

I have been telling him they’re gross and he just looks at me like I’m crazy 😂 I’m glad to know 3 is the limit of being fine

Cut the nipple off in front of him and throw them away. Or "mail" them to the pacifier fairy

I’ve thought of doing things like that but he doesn’t understand yet. :(
