Work out if you want a church wedding or not, then We went and had a look round potential venues, and churches and got a basic price list just for the places.

Some were extortionate for sod all basically or not what we wanted and we eliminated them. We choose our faves, then we started to think about numbers as its all about per person etc meal, drinks, chair cover and chairs etc.

Once you have an figure in your head you can work out costing for venues. Then look at what menu options would suit you all, we choose pub grub style as posh food with stuff we can't even say didn't appeal to us!

Then we started researching the costs of wedding cars, rings, hair and make up, flowers stuff like this.. Then we budgeted for the must haves.. I never had a really dear dress for me it seemed a waste but everyone is different so my budget was quite low! Then it's groom suit, bridesmaids, best men, page boys etc. They all add up fast!

It doesn't matter about anyone else, it's you and him that matters. I found so many people tried to dictate what we can or can't have or should have! Like it or lump it, it's your big day.

I was quite a scrimper, I found out to buy stuff my ownself was cheaper then hiring it out. Also after the wedding you can sell on quite easy!

Whatever you do make sure you have a decent photographer as they will be your life long memories to look back on of your special day! Something you will forever look back on and smile remebering it all.

Dont stress whatever happens, it makes everything seem so much worst than it is. Enjoy the planning, so hard, stressful and tiring but will be so worth it in the end.. ❤️
