Confused... I went to my first appointment and I was 6weeks & 6 days... all they did was have me fill out paperwork & did an internal exam & ran blood work & a pee test... shouldn’t they have done a heartbeat because the baby would’ve had a heartbeat at that point... This is my first pregnancy so I’m not sure what’s normal for a first visit, did they do a heart beat for you at your visit that far along?
All they usually do at my first appointment is paperwork and discuss family history. It’s usually just an intake if it’s that early. Every clinic is different.
Not usually! The heart rate is definitely there at 6 weeks but it’s hard to hear until baby gets a BIT bigger.
Not usually. The first appointment is usually just confirmation you’re pregnant. My drs office won’t see you usually until after 8 weeks and they don’t usually even try for a heartbeat until like 12w but every office is different of course.
My dr wouldn’t even do that until 8 weeks. A lot are harder to detect that early on so they wait.
They did a heartbeat wen i was 6 in a half weeks but i couldn't really hear it!
