Okay so I normally don't get bothered by this sort of stuff but I've seen it so much lately. Women on FB market place and yardsale groups stating they are in search of baby items (for free) because they are "due soon and don't have anything" but I mean you've had 9 months to gather this stuff 🤷 if you go to the salvation army with proof of your low income they help you aquire those things. And they get all pissy when someone tells them that or try to point them in the direction where someone can help them. This one girl stated her and her sister were in search of baby items (didn't say FREE) and someone commented saying they have a bunch of stuff for a really really low price and the person who posted it started going off on her saying that all of her and her mans money goes to bills and her sister doesn't work.... I know I know "you don't know their whole story" but if someone tries to help you and you go off on them it looks like you are just trying to get hand outs and maybe you should have started trying to aquire said baby things sooner. It makes people not want to help anyone else and the people they don't offer to help because of you could actually need it and would be appreciative.

Also most of them are asking for name brand expensive things for free. I feel like someone who really needed things because they don't have any money would be happy with anything

If she didn’t state she was looking for free stuff then I don’t understand why she got upset lol, if she said she was looking for free stuff and then the lady said she’s selling stuff for cheap then I could understand because it’s then annoying because it’s like “can’t you read?” Lmao
I always give my baby stuff away for free and they’re in good shape and everything, and I’m not even that good off as far as money goes, but I’d rather help someone else then make a few dollars. So many people need the help and it feels really good to help them out rather they are well off or not. I’ve just always been that way, plus it’s much easier to give stuff away then deal with people trying to get you to lower your price after it’s already low enough haha

Right lmao. It's nice to give things to people who actually need it. Most of them you can see the appreciation on their faces. I had a rock n play up for sale (cheap) and a girl messaged me telling me how her and her husband just got an apartment and they had been living in a shelter because they moved here from somewhere and didn't have enough money and she found out she had to have her baby at 36 weeks and a lot of other heart breaking things. And as someone who has been in a situation like that I felt awful for her and offered her everything I had for free (rock n play, clothes, blankets, breast pump, cosleeper, pack n play and more) and she never told me when I could bring them over even after asking. A couple weeks later once the baby was born and she posted pictures of all this nice stuff with the caption of (since no one would help us we had to go get a loan so our daughter would have more than a couple outfits) 🙄

Yep! This happened with my god daughter's baby clothes. We donated them all to someone we had gone to school with. A week later she was selling them all on Facebook. We would've kept them had we known she would do that.

There a lot of these people near me lately too! I agree, plan a little. Even before you know the gender you can buy a lot of things. Most of our sons stuff was gotten really cheap or free, we could have bought new but it's so easy to find cheap.

It kills me when they have a big long list of things and the things they really want are in capital letters. Like worry about the necessities first 🤷 you will be okay if your baby don't have a swing and a bouncer, make sure they have a car seat, appropriate clothes for the season, blankets ,and a bed. Then go from there. Any more there are a ton of baby second hand shops you can get almost everything at for a really really good price

Most of the time too even with giving it out free they chose not to take it because it's ugly or not their kind of brand they want. Seen a lot of that stuff too.
