Does anybody have experience with their LO's having acid reflux? My babygirl is 2 1/2 mos old and she has had tummy issues ever since she came home from the hospital. She was 6 weeks early and was in the NICU for 3 weeks and didnt seem to have a problem at all there. Once she got home and was switched on powdered formula it all startes. Her little belly is so full of gas no matter what i do to help..i mean we have tried gripe water, probiotics, the windis, gas drops, tons of burping... Her Dr finally gave her medicine for acid reflux and switched her formula which has helped a little, & its only been a week of that so hopefully it will help eventually.
Oh yes i did hear of that..i have a pack n play that she sleeps in and i have her on an incline with a pillow..i need to find one of those wedges
Both of mine had it. Feel free to message me if you have questions 🤗
Thanks hun, im not sure how to go to a msg yet but ill look around and figure it out lol !!! Do they still have it (reflux)?? It seems like she is getting much better being on Zantac and Alimentum formula but I can tell when she makes her facial expressions that she still has it quite often mostly when she is laying down for bed
@siobhanbonfitz2018 my oldest grew out of it or it doesn't bother her lol. My youngest is on that formula and took zantac with something else as well. She seems to be way better. She also sleeps on an angle. We use a crib wedge. I highly recommend it.
My daughter has had horrible acid reflux since week 2. Spitting up sooo much and very uncomfortable always screaming from it. My dr finally gave her meds at week 9. Another dr even told me to try a little rice cereal in her bottle to help weigh down her milk. Unfortunately it makes it worse so we’re stuck with me trying to cut out different things in my diet since I’m breastfeeding.
@siobhanbonfitz2018, as long as I don’t eat a ton of diary it’s great lol
my son has issues w his tummy too, I notice when he’s trying to poop he gets really uncomfortable and whines and also when he has gas he’s in pain. i’ve used gripe water and it helps him. have you thought about her seeing a gastroenterologist?
I am thinking that may be the only thing thatll help her cuz girl i feel like ive tried it all. Gripe water hasnt helped her but i havent tried it since she was about 5 wks and now shes 13 so maybe ill try again. She does have ALOT of gas all of the time and it is painful for her as well. She was on neosure formula but i demanded for her to be switched cuz that shit was causing terrible stomach pains even on a probiotice, gas drops, gripe water..i mean really. So shes now on similac alimentum the purple can. Its only been 2 wks and her peds has also perscribed her zantac 2x a day but i am waiting to see a difference...
@siobhanbonfitz2018, i’ve been giving my son gripe water since he was about 2-3 weeks old and it helps a little. when I notice he has gas or needs to poop I lay him down and move his legs in a bicycle pedaling motion or just push his knees up and it helps him feel better
Basically have tried everything you can think of for gas relief in a baby and even switching formulas, I've seen very little improvement. Not sure what else there is to do to help with gas. Any mama's have issues with gas with their infant? If so, what did your pediatrician say or do about it.

My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". She was born at 27 weeks and has a long road ahead of her. Every day she has been getting stronger and amazing everyone. Please keep us in your prayers, my family and I have a long road ahead of us. Congratulations to everyone and I wish you all wonderful pregnancies and deliveries! ??❤️
baby is screaming like she is in pain fed her changed her n burped her.. she needed help with her poop she gas been constipated but she got some poop out and is still crying.. any ideas??? pls help
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
For moms who breastfed and are giving formula now... Did ur little one have tummy problems(gassy)??shes been on formula 5days(similac sensitive)? Idk if i should call her dr to switch formula or she needs a bit time to get used to it?? Orr??
I would try a different brand of probiotics.. the gut has everything to do with reflux. My daughter had awful GERD and the only thing that helped was getting her on great probiotics and switching to a natural goats milk formula.
