I've been a nanny for the last 8 years and I may be able to help answer your questions. Pay really depends on how often you plan on having your nanny and what you're requiring of your nanny. Normally if you're only going to have a nanny part time you'll pay hourly. If you plan on needing a full time nanny normally you'll pay by the week. Will you have them doing chores that are unrelated to care of your child? Will you require meal prep? Transportation? All of those things need to be considered. I usually charge between $10-$15 an hour depending on those things. There are a lot of great agencies that will background check and screen you just have to look in your area.
