Helmet question???? My son had a recent cranial scan and now requires a helmet/DOC band to correct his sever plagiocephaly. Anyone with this kind of experience? What was it like? Did you opt to not do it? Anyone dealing with tricare and the helmets? I have some questions......

Theyve ruled out torticollis. Your insight was very helpful. I was also reading up on some complications that come with my son's form of it. It sounds also like there a more complications if he doesnt. Did you have any issues with insurance regarding the helmet portion? Im hearing and seeing from others that there are some issues with paying for it.

My son had congenital torticollis and he needed a helmet. We got him a helmet and I’m so glad we did. It was absolutely worth it. He also had physical therapy and honestly that was a lot more difficult than the helmet in the grand scheme of things. His head is beautifully shaped now and I always forget he even had a helmet. I know a few moms that opted out and their children’s heads are still very flat years down the road. So I think it’s worth every penny and every stressful moment. You can message me anytime!
