Completely agree, these things are the hallmarks of a western society. I’m in the UK and healthcare is free (though the waiting times can a nightmare) for everyone, school meals are income based so those from lower income families get free meals. Social housing isn’t restricted to the projects. Any new development has to provide 10% of the properties they build as social housing. University is also income based those from poorer families receive a generous discount but still need to take out a government backed loan like everyone which they only pay back once they start earning a certain amount a year after graduation. The fees are 6% in my day the fees were only 1.7% at the highest.
I think it’s important to remember people have very different circumstances and the majority do not actively choose to be like that.
