So we recently took on this very very very disabled little girl at my work. She will be 3 in April, she can’t walk, crawl, talk or stand up on her own. She can’t see but has glass eyes so her face would grow properly, and she has cochlear implants because she was born deaf. She’s the SWEETEST little thing I have ever met and I absolutely love her however it’s so stressful 😭 if she’s startled even a little bit she starts wailing, throws her head back tries to take out her eyes and bites her self that’s how upset she gets after that happens it takes SO long to get her to calm down and because she’s so upset she just wants to mess with her eyes but she’s being taught that she can’t just take them out or bite herself because we’re teaching her to love herself and not hurt herself, so when we tell her “no thank you don’t bite and don’t touch your eyes” it makes it worse and she screams again after not screaming for a minute. I’m her person so idk what I or we are going to do after I have my baby and start bringing him/her to work with me. I’ll have to take a couple weeks off obviously so maybe she will learn to cope better? Idk 😭😭😭 I’m so nervous though 😭
It’s all she knows...she was born deaf and blind. She got the implants so he can at least hear. It’s funny though because if it’s too loud or she’s just mad and done hearing she flicks them off but half the time they fall back into place(they are magnetic) so she can still hear us lol. She’s seriously the sweetest little thing. I just worry and am nervous. Like today after snack she was rocking on a rocking owl and having fun rocking out to the music it plays and one of our 1 year olds walked up to her and bopped her on the head, it didn’t hurt her at all but she didn’t know he came up to her so it scared the living day lights out of her and that was the end. She was pissed for an hour and after so long of being so sweet because she was scared we have to be more strict like “okay you need to stop screaming we have you now I’m holding you you are okay and safe”.
But how do I be there for her when I have a new baby ya know? That was my point not her name lol
@bubbys.mommy right girl . I saw the point you were making. I don't know why people always see the negative or say stupid things that have nothing to do with what you were saying . it will take time but I'm sure you'll learn to adjust as well as she will . don't worry or stress it will all fall into place I promise
@momtwo4, I’m sure it will. The baby will sleep all the time so I’m not going to be constantly holding the baby and my boss is like having extreme baby fever so I’m sure she will be like “okay give me your baby you go help her” 😂
I know. It’s heart breaking but that’s all she knows, she doesn’t know it’s not a normal thing but we don’t treat her any differently really we just tell her “no thank you don’t throw your plate say all done” and all the kids think she is amazing and she had a best friend on her first day. When she had her first sigh language session at school one of the first new signs she learned was her best friends name and now she signs it alllll the time. It’s amazing to watch how she does things but just how easily upset she gets about things and how bad it is...it’s stressful
I’m removing the name cause I’m not about to have other ladies coming on here telling me I broke a rule even though I did not 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
She didnt use the last name so no, she didn't brake any rules. I work for a preschool.
I don’t even know any of the kids last names lol
Are you breaching a code of privacy using her name?
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️

IUI Monday!!
So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years...
Religion Conspiracy/Theory
**This is not to bash peoples religion and beliefs but to talk about our own theories and ideas** I would like to discuss a certain topic that came to mind after talking to my SO. I know some of you ladies like a good conspiracy talk so i would like to have a good discussion and hear thoughts of others. So back story my SO friends got very offended when he mentioned not believing in god or religion and it got me thinking. Is religion a failing form of goverment cont...
My heart breaks for her 😭 I can’t even imagine how hard it must be for her and for you to have to handle her. Sorry I don’t have any advice. I don’t have experience with this kind of thing.
