Most won't do it until after 15weeks Because baby is too small. And they won't refund you if they can't see anything and they'll say it's because you went before 18 weeks. We almost went to one but got iffy about it because when we called they said they'd charge us a $45 "sitting" fee if they couldn't determine the gender before 18 weeks and that was our risk to take.
I went on the day I turned 16 weeks. It was very clearly a girl. My anatomy scan at OB was scheduled for 21 weeks. They had a cancellation so I was able to get it done at my 18w appt and they confirmed girl.
I went with my daughter at 13 weeks and they were right and I went with this baby, at first she said girl but had me come back 2 days later no charge and said it’s a boy! Confirmed boy at anatomy scan
I wouldn't pay for a scan that they won't be able to see any better than your regular doctor. But that's completely up to you. It's well worth the wait. I paid to know gender through blood test and regretted it. To me it made the pregnancy feel longer and more drawn out rather than things to look forward to along the way to make it seem faster.

I was like 16ish almost 17 weeks I wanna say, then had my anatomy scan at 19 and something days and had it confirmed

I would go. I went in for my daughter’s at 13w5days and for my baby boy at 14 weeks. Both were correct. I would go in between 14-16weeks.
