Anyone else that didn’t get to hold their baby right after birth?! Ours was rushed off and air lifted. I got to hold him week later for the first time.
I still get sad when I see pics,commercials, and such of moms getting to hold their babies right away.
Wondering if I’m the only one.

I didnt get to hold mine till the next day. I had major complications afterwards and had to go into emergency surgery and stay the night in ICU.

Me. I was in and out of it during my csection. I heard her cry, then passed out again. I woke up in the recovery area. &’ I was so anxious to get back into my room because they had brought her there afterwards. I had to wait for what felt like an hour.
I cant even imagine waiting a week 😭 im sorry mamas.

Wow that had to be scary! Yeah I didn’t even get to really see him for the first three days bc I was still at the hospital where I delivered and he was an hour away 😢

Why did he have to be airlifted to another hospital? and so you had to wait till you were discharged from where you delivered?

he was born not breathing so they sent him to a children’s hospital so he could be put on the cooling blanket method. My hospital discharge me the fastest they could from having a csection.
It was so hard laying in the hospital and hearing the babies crying in the other rooms and knowing I couldn’t be with my baby

I didn't get to hold mine either. I still get upset seeing others hold theirs
