For only 1.5hrs a day, she really shouldn't be charging but maybe $20/week.

When I was pregnant with my daughter and working, my sister would watch my son 2 days a week for $20.

Out in southern Cali my so and I were looking for part time daycare, and for 18 hours a week we were looking at 300 dollars for two kids. That sounds like a deal to me right there.

If you ask me that's underpaying someone to properly care for your child(ren), even for just 1.5 hrs. Most decent day cares charge like 7-10 an hour. Are you providing food, entertainment, ect?

I pay $10/child/day for the same amount of time after school. $100/week and an additional $5/child when they have early dismissal.

Im charging her $15 a week. Yes I'm providing food. But who am I to charge more . So I can be insulted or called names like days ago. For charging $40 for 2 days.( An infant) .

For 3 kids, totally reasonable.

My friend babysits, and she gets paid $30 an hour for 2 boys. 2 girls ( one has autism ). She only babysits for like 4 hours the most. Each kid gets picked up from the bus, but at different times.

I’m not understanding some comments lol 10-15/ day sounds about right. Considering 10/hr for just one kid is normal and expected. $15/ week wouldn’t even be worth it.

Well first off my mom would never ask me to give her money for watching her grandchild. She is thrilled to watch him and tells me “anytime!” I’m sorry you’re having to do this.

My daycare does $ 16.75 for 5 hours toddler and $ 20 for 5 hours for a baby up until 2 years of age. Five hours is the shortest amount of time.

That’s a deal!!! The daycares in norther Cali cost anywhere from $1500-$2000 per month for an infant.
