So I'm 22 years old my husband is 25 we are both active duty military, we rent a house, and we have 2 puppies and a baby on the way. We are doing pretty good for ourselves. And it seems as if ppl (friends and family) are jealous about the amount of stuff that my baby has.......
I've already got 3 comments about how much clothes my baby has. You would think family would be proud of us and all we are able to do without help.
I thought over prepared was better than under prepared?

The only bad thing about having a lot of baby clothes is that your baby may not get to wear it all. Oh well, not a big deal. Kudos to you guys for having your lives together, don’t pay attention to anyone bringing negativity into your lives.
And thank you for your service (I’m in Reserves 🙂).

Thanks for your service as well girly!....
But tons of other people gave us the baby clothes....so if he doesnt wear them we aren't out any money or anything. And if we was.....SO WHAT! I would just return the favor and give them to others that need them!
But oh well lol

my thoughts exactly. I’m putting aside everything my girl didn’t get to wear and planning to give it away or donate it all.
And thank you!

Just collect all sizes up to 12 months for sure, that first year goes by fast and I appreciated having the next size already. I still shop a size ahead for my son because it helps and I like shopping lol.

We got it when our son was little, but we found that the people saying those things had the ability to be at the same place as us they just didn't budget well and wasted money on things. My husband is military too and it was other moms with kids the same age and husbands the same rank that made the most comments to me about the stuff we had.

People are just jealous. Y’all should be proud of yourselves 😁

Thank you for your service!! Felicity and @okhristich
Don’t pay attention to people’s negativity and yes you can always donate them to someone in need.

The same happened with my hubby and first daughter. We got so much stuff by ourselves and family and friends kept urging us not to. Looking back, some of it was good advice because our daughter didn't get to wear 60% of the stuff we bought and only used the other gadgets for about a month until we finally got tired of looking at it and gave it away. (Because they grow so fast) The good part is that we felt good about giving it to someone else who may need it after we were done so there was really no waste 😁

Everybody was like that when I was pregnant I bought pretty much everything my baby needed and people always complained that I was buying to much I wouldn't let it effect you because if you plan on having another kid you can use those clothes or donate them it is your child you are allow to buy whatever you want for them everybody usually goes all out on their first child anyways I dont see the big deal but that is just me
