Should I be concerned if my 6week old has yellow eye crust? It’s not an eye booger that’s in the corner of his eye but on his eye lid/lash when he wakes up

That’s what I’m used to. When my little brother had this my parents used to do this to him thank you!
My daughter had that too. Idk if you breast feed or not but my doctor told me to put couple drops of breast milk in her eye and it cleared up the next morning and never came back. If you don’t then like baby bump said. You can get an ointment from doctor too.

If it’s not a lot I wouldn’t worry about it! It could just be a little clogged duct or something. If it gets worse, I would take him to the doctor. My son had the same thing and they just gave him son eye ointment and it went away. Whenever your in doubt, take a picture and call your doctor!!
My daughter has had this since day one. Her doctor said it’s a clogged tear duct and should go away by the time she’s 1. If it doesn’t go away she may need surgery. So we just wipe it down often with a warm rag.
