It doesnt matter at your 6 week pp appointment that you are on your period right?? I'm really so uncomfortable about it and really want to reschedule but I really want to get this stupid appointment over with.. but I also feel terrible bringing my daughter since she has a cold 😩 I'm sure I wont be the first woman getting checked while on their period but something about it makes me so incredibly uncomfortable. I never liked getting checked but honestly I was never ever this bothered over any appointment like I am with this one.. I cancelled at 4 weeks because I wasnt ready for down there to be bothered 😒 sigh why am I stressing SO hard about this

They don’t check you unless you had complications or you think something is wrong now. At that appointment they ask you how you’re doing and if you say good and don’t have any questions they’ll ask if you want to start on birth control and you say yes or no and you go home and come back for your annual check up.

It’s normal mama, I was scared too lol I just read the comments below and I’ve had stitches for both of my births and didn’t get checked and I thought I was but I guess it just depends on your location and doctor. You can also call in and ask if they’re going to check you.

Did you have stitches? Just take some wipes wit you wipe up before they check they are so used to it and most of us are on our period at that time I think that’s why they do it then to ensure we’re “back to normal” and ask about contraception. If you haven’t had stitches they don’t look xx

I was checked at my PP checkup.. I was asked about post partum depression, birth control, and my hooha was looked at I did tear and have a stitch though that may be why . did you have to have any stitches? If so you'll definitely be checked.

I was on my period for mine, and I had stitches, but I wasn't checked. I think it depends on your doctor/birth. I totally thought I would be checked though.

Call your OB clinic and ask a nurse. My OB didn’t even check me at my appt so you might not even have to worry.
